DHS offices across South Dakota will be closed tomorrow, December 22, due to extreme wind chill and blizzard or near blizzard conditions. Employees will work remotely tomorrow. Offices will reopen Tuesday, December 27, after the Christmas holiday.

Due to the continuing winter storm, many DHS Offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 16. DHS Offices will be open in the following counties: * Bon Homme * Clay * Custer * Fall River * Lincoln * Minnehaha * Western Pennington * Turner * Union * Yankton

Weather and road conditions are quickly deteriorating in Brookings, Lake, Miner, and Moody counties. DHS Offices in these counties will be closed effective immediately. Employees will work remotely for the remainder of the day.

The great staff at the South Dakota Developmental Center doing what they do - taking care of people! SDDC leaders donated and prepared meals for the overnight staff as a small thank you for their dedication to SDDC residents during this winter storm.

Due to the ongoing storm, many S.D. DHS Offices will be closed tomorrow, Dec. 14, with staff working remotely. Offices in Bon Homme, Clay, Davison, Hanson, Hutchinson, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner, Union & Yankton counties, where conditions have improved, will be open.

Due to inclement weather throughout South Dakota, Department of Human Services offices across the state will be closed tomorrow, December 13. DHS staff will be working remotely and can be reached via phone or email. Stay safe, everyone!
