1hr #SP500 chart. I did say I'd short the US when $DJI $DJIA hit $24.4k level. Got wide stops. US Fed rate decision in 30 mins. A cut to 0% would hinder my immediate bear plans. #US500 surprisingly surged above the 61.8%. $DJI ~600pts from 61.8%

Given tangible currency is almost a thing of the past, and digits on a screen replace it, does gov debt even mater? Do stock markets become effectively a giant pyramid scheme? Intrigued.

@gassin123Charts As businesses reopen costs go back up but revenues will be rubbish. Supply chains cooked, no favours from landlords, gov allowances removed yet the market bubbles along. Not sure many realise how bad Q2 and Q3 are going to be. Will wipe out many businesses.

@wackyvision Firstly, April is our worst month for revenue, not March. This will be factored in Q2. When businesses reopen they trade at 60% max of what they did. Jan/Feb were solid business months this year. Q3 will trade at 80%. That’s a 20% decline! This will sink many businesses

$NAB has reduced its half yearly dividend to 30c from 80c. #asx It’s suffered a 37% drop in half year earnings. Correspondingly it’s price is down around 37% from pre-COVID. There will be the usual crowd fear sell off, however it appears priced.
