@alexw2000123 @foxsuper @GaryLineker Suggest reading up on the social model of disability. This model is about recognising that people with long term conditions are disabled by societal constructs. This includes negative attitudes and biases that can come from the way in which we may consider someone's appearance.

@bazsmith26 @GaryLineker Finally, the Equality Act 2010 does not include anything about percentages in its definition of disability. Definitely wouldn't support a scale of %s, it serves no obvious purpose.

@SDMoore77 @GaryLineker Well if you have done lot's of work on disabled people you would know what 76% disability is, read and find out the percentages, by the way I am 85% disabled..

@bazsmith26 @GaryLineker So would be interested to know which model of disability grades people by percentages. Do you have a link to where I can do further reading?

@bazsmith26 @GaryLineker The work I did was to advance the social model of disability, I.e., that people with long term conditions are disabled by the way in which society has been structured, rather than the medical model, which puts the emphasis on a person being disabled because of their condition 1/2

@johnredwood Hey John. You seem to enjoy the programme? Perhaps you can do the commentary for any visually impaired people that usually tune in to MOTD?

Great BBC Match of the day. All action. Good replays so you could see what happened and understand penalty calls. Pity they did not show more of the football and run each match a bit longer. Too much chat in the previous programmes.

@thecarolemalone He used Twitter to share his views, not a BBC programme. Therefore your argument is flawed. And what if he had spoken in favour of the Government. Would he still be accused of impartiality?

Gary Lineker is entitled to hold whatever political views he wants. But he’s paid £1.3m by taxpayers so he’s not entitled to use the vast public platform afforded him by the BBC, our publicly funded state broadcaster, to peddle his political views. express.co.uk/comment/expres…

@BBCNews The BBC has lost the plot, how is this news? The chances of anything hitting the planet are rated as 1 out of 10.

@BBCNews I thought BBC was supposed to be impartial. The favouritism of posting Government supporting front pages doesn't seem impartial?

@andreajenkyns @DJtom94 If Lineker had Tweeted in support of the Government would the BBC still accuse him of a lack of impartiality? Or is it only impartiality if someone speaks against the Government??

Whilst I share @GaryLineker’s view on the migrant refugees, he has signed a contract. I have signed a few and all of them ask that you are impartial . I’d say that includes sport teams as well as political teams. It may not be fair but that’s what you sign .

@PennyMordaunt If Lineker had written a Tweet in support of the Government would he have been suspended by the BBC? Surely impartiality goes both ways?

They’ve borrowed from Lineker’s playbook. Labour are a party of goalhangers and left-wing strikers. That doesn’t work in politics. The country needs centre forwards, people who are prepared to put the hard work in and create opportunities. And it needs a team captain with a plan.

@BBCBreakfast If Lineker had Tweeted in support of the Government would the BBC have taken the same action? BBC talks about the need to be impartial, but only apparently if it's not criticising the Government.

@alexberesfordTV The BBC talks about the need to be impartial. But the way they have handled this is not impartial - it is pandering to Government pressure.
