Community Update | Houston Fire – McCall Ranger District Sidney Resources was the first to report the Houston Fire on the McCall Ranger District, allowing for a rapid response by the U.S. Forest Service and firefighting personnel. Early detection can make all the difference, and we are grateful for the swift response of the U.S. Forest Service and the firefighters who continue working to contain the fire and protect our forests, wildlife, and surrounding communities. This marks the fourth wildfire in recent years that Sidney Resources has been the first to report while working in these remote mountains. In another incident, Sidney Resources was also the first to report a small aircraft crash, helping emergency responders reach the scene as quickly as possible. Living and working in rural Idaho means looking out for one another.
