Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2025 Indian Education Summit. We were honored to present Star Quilts to Donald Montileaux and the Aberdeen Public School District in recognition of their ongoing partnership with our department.

Each child in attendance received a free copy of Muskrat and Skunk to take home and share with their families. Thank you, Donald Montileaux, for partnering with our office on this event, and thanks to Aberdeen’s elementary schools for welcoming us into your classrooms!

On Thursday, the Office of Indian Education partnered with Donald Montileaux to visit six elementary schools in Aberdeen, where Donald read his book, Muskrat and Skunk, to students as part of the 2025 Indian Education Summit kickoff.
