@minakimes @Nate_Tice @DannyBKelly Fair enough. However, you are comparing a singular RB to a good OL. Thats 1 against 5. It would be better to compare the impact of a good RB to a good Guard.
English

One of the points made in favor of drafting Jeremiyah Love early is that it would help (insert young QB). But how much does a star RB actually help vs a good OL or great WR?
Discussed on the pod with @nate_tice and @dannybkelly

This is pretty interesting
I wonder if Anthony Barr would’ve signed with the #Jets if he had to do a video call 😊
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
A subtle but significant change when the NFL's free agent negotiating window opens Monday: For the first time, clubs may conduct one video or phone call (maximum 1 hour) with up to five free agents, rather than communicating strictly through their agents as in past years.

@Ourlads_Sy All this talk of safety vs running back, when ironically the pick should be another low positional value player….Sonny Styles.

@impactfbdata Your QB analysis has always been spot on. I am curious why you are lower on Caleb Downs than most?

*Official* Pre-combine QB rankings for the 2026 NFL Draft. North Dakota State QB Cole Payton currently my QB1. Payton a developmental prospect.. but one with an extremely high ceiling if he reaches it. Payton's 96.0 PFF grade in 2025 is the highest in a single season (FBS/FCS) since PFF started tracking data..
Previous QB1s..
🔘 2026: Cole Payton, North Dakota State
🔘 2025: Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
🔘 2024: Jayden Daniels, LSU
🔘 2023: CJ Stroud, Ohio State
🔘 2022: Malik Willis, Liberty
Lower on.. 🚩
🔘 Ty Simpson, Alabama
🔘 Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
🔘 Taylen Green, Arkansas

@nickwithsports I guess my point was…if there was no lottery, would there be less tanking in the NBA?
English

@SD_SportsDoctor It is the lottery system given we've know the importance of one player to a team's success. That isn't a new discovery.
The only reliable way for bad teams to get better is through the draft.
English

@WFAN660 I don’t think people realize that Washington was a top 4 rushing offense both years he was there.
English

@jamiestuartTV I agree.. there are valid questions. Like most candidates (especially fired ones). No slam dunk hires unless Harbaugh shakes free. I just feel like there is a middle ground between “slam dunk” and “why would we even consider this guy!”
English

@SD_SportsDoctor And I’m not saying that he’s horrible, but I am raising valid questions as to why people think he’s a slam dunk hire
English

The love affair with Stefanski is misguided.
He is 8-26 the last 2 years.
4 out of 5 losing seasons and 18 games under .500 in past 5 years
Baker Mayfield was horrible under him.
Deshaun Watson was horrible under him.
He couldn’t turn Browns in 6 years, why could he turn Jets?
JJ 🦾@Judetruth
Without citing the Sanders message, why exactly should the jets fire Glenn to hire Stefanski?
English

@jamiestuartTV I am not saying it means everything…but to say it means nothing isn’t fair either. Look at Belichick’s 1st 6 years as a coach. (5 with the browns, 1 with NE). One 11 win season. Years 5,6 both 5-11. And he is supposedly the greatest ever.
English

@SD_SportsDoctor I mean the Mangenius won 10 games his first year :)
I think his body of work does not support the hype I see.
English

@jamiestuartTV Also “mayfield was horrible under him” is grossly inaccurate. Baker’s 2nd best statistical year was under him…and his best record as a starter (11-5) was under him.
English

@DanSchneierNFL Using some geometry, that ball travelled 36 yards on a rope. Big difference when he steps into a throw vs off his back foot which he does too often. Arm strength is not an issue. Footwork is what needs improvement his offseason.
English

@jamiestuartTV I disagree. Right now he looks the part…and even a skeptic should realize that obtaining a QB should not be in the immediate plans. Barring something drastically changing the Giants should go into next year with Dart as their franchise QB.
English

@SD_SportsDoctor I’m not worrying. I just find it funny that no one seems to learn their lesson
English

@impactfbdata What do you think his issue is. Injury? Just doesn’t look right compared to how he threw in starts last year
English

@impactfbdata Considering I am a Jaxson Dart fan, i am going to trust everything you say !
English

I feel Andre was extremely believable as a giant

Creatine for combat sports athletes 💥🥊
This new systematic review compiled the scientific evidence on creatine use in combat sports athletes🥋
19 studies were included in the review 📚
Here are the key findings ⬇️
Creatine supplementation can significantly…
⚖️ Increase body mass (≥6 wk) or when combined with resistance training
💪 Increase fat-free mass
💥 Improve muscular power and strength
Increased body mass does not appear to impair rapid weight-cutting strategies…
…as FFM-related water can be manipulated during acute weight loss phases 📉
Creatine does not appear to affect…
❌ Sport-specific endurance
❌ Recovery
❌ Fatigue
There were also limited to no side effects reported from creatine supplementation ✅
Combat sports athletes may want to consider creatine supplementation to support power, strength and fat free mass gains 📈
Plus there may be neuroprotective benefits associated with creatine supplementation 🧠
If combat sports athletes struggle to make weight, creatine may not be the most appropriate strategy‼️
(although with athletes that struggle to make weight, going up a weight class may be a worthwhile consideration)
