Sometimes kids say it best. They know homelessness isn’t simple, and their answers go beyond quick fixes. They talk about jobs, homes, and simply being there for someone who feels alone. How do you talk to your kids about homelessness?

A single moment of belief can spark a lifetime of change. Don's story is a reminder that recovery is a journey, and helping others along the way is part of healing. As a Case Manager with SEARCH for 30 years, Don has spent decades supporting others on their paths to stability.

Thanks to a Blue Impact℠ grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, SEARCH will be able to serve more Houstonians with compassionate outreach and housing support. This partnership brings us one step closer to a future where everyone has a place to call home.

What does it take to change a life? Sometimes, it starts with a simple connection and meeting someone with empathy, not judgment. At SEARCH, these moments of trust lead to lasting change, guiding individuals and families from the streets to a safe, stable home.
