We’re excited to introduce the Arronax Advanced Control System, now embedded in SEAmagine’s Aurora submersibles. Developed with W. Michael Zintel and already proven aboard SEAmagine’s 3 person submersible Argonauta with National Geographic Pristine Seas, Arronax delivers precise, stable, and intuitive maneuvering for complex underwater operations. A key feature, “Wall Mode,” eliminates forward prop wash, maintaining clear visibility and minimizing disturbance to marine environments during close range work. It is a real game changer in how we pilot our subs, enabling more intuitive control and clearer observation of reefs and delicate ecosystems. #SEAmagine #OceanTechnology #Submersibles #DeepSea #MarineScience #Innovation #Subsea

A short clip from a series of 1000 m dives we conducted in Palau aboard a SEAmagine submersible. What continues to stand out is the unexpected color and richness of life at these depths, along with the constant presence of marine life. In most cases, the animals simply carried on, seemingly undisturbed by our presence, while occasionally a few approached with clear curiosity, as seen here. As always, the camera captures only a fraction of the experience. What we observed firsthand was far more detailed and immersive than what any video can fully convey. #DeepSeaExploration #Submersibles #OceanDiscovery #MarineScience #OceanTechnology #SEAmagine

Clips from another 1,000m dive with the SEAmagine submersible in Palau. We were greeted by several tripod fish (Bathypterois grallator) standing on the seafloor and facing directly into the current. A fascinating sight. These deep-sea fish orient themselves into the flow, using their elongated pectoral fins like sensitive antennae to detect vibrations from passing zooplankton and small crustaceans. For those who are interested, the water temperature at depth was about 4.5°C, while at the surface it was around 29°C. A clear contrast between surface and deep ocean conditions. #SEAmagine #DeepSea #OceanExploration #Submersible #Palau #MarineLife

This is some great footage from a 1,076 m dive in Palau, where we found a surprising abundance of sea life. The Dumbo octopus was amazing to see, along with eels and sharks. At that depth, you really feel honored to be there, visiting a part of the ocean that remains largely unknown. Great dives! #OceanExploration #DeepSea #Submersible #Palau #SEAmagine

During a recent submersible training dive in Palau, we unexpectedly came across this WWII Japanese shipwreck resting on the seabed. The vessel, an anti-submarine destroyer, sank in 1942. The extensive marine growth covering the wreck shows just how long it has been part of the ocean landscape. Moments like this are always striking when we find a piece of history preserved on the seafloor. #OceanExploration #Submersibles #DeepSeaExploration #MaritimeHistory #SEAmagine

A short clip from a 550m dive we conducted in Palau aboard a SEAmagine submersible. Over the past few days, thresher sharks have been roaming close to our dive sites. This footage shows the closest pass we captured at approximately 85m during our descent. The deeper segment of the dive shows that even in complete darkness, marine life can be remarkably colorful…and unusual. The deep-sea cucumber shown here, often referred to as a “sea eggplant” (Synallactidae Paelopatides) due to its purple-brown hue, is a benthic scavenger found in deep water. We ended up just calling it “Shai-Hulud,” after the creature from the Dune novels and films. More to share from these dives… stay tuned. #SEAmagine #Submersibles #Palau #ThresherShark #OceanExploration #DeepSea

2026 — here we go! SEAmagine is heading back to Palau this month for additional pilot training and deep-water operations. This video was captured just before the holidays during a series of inspection and maintenance dives to 500 m and 1,000 m. At 1,000 meters, it truly feels like another world — a powerful reminder of how much remains to be explored. Can’t wait to dive over the next few weeks! #SEAmagine #Submersibles #Palau #OceanExploration #subsea #OceanScience

As December rolls in and the temperatures start to fall, we can’t help but think back to our Bahamas dives with the SEAmagine 3-Person Aurora sub aboard M/Y Hodor. The water there is just unbelievably clear, and even the shallow dives around shipwrecks, surrounded by divers, are always great fun. If you ever get the opportunity to take a sub dive, with SEAmagine or anyone else, don’t hesitate – Take it! #SEAmagine #submersibles #submarines #ExpeditionYacht #SuperyachtLife #UnderwaterExploration #BahamasDiving #OceanInnovation

SEAmagine had a great time at the Explorer Yacht Summit in Monaco and at the Superyacht Forum at METS in Amsterdam. Always great to catch up with industry friends and meet new ones! Big shoutout to Bryn Spencer for his awesome talk at the Explorer Summit, sharing his experiences with submersibles. Looking forward to the day he takes a SEAmagine sub for a dive to add to his experience on different vehicles! Both events featured really interesting panels and discussions on topics that actually matter. Loved the conversations we had and are excited for more collaborations ahead. #SEAmagine #YachtIndustry #Superyachts #ExplorerYachts #MarineTechnology #Submersibles #UnderwaterExploration #OceanExploration #LuxuryYachts

Spotlight on Ian Sheard, a Founding Member of SEAmagine and its Chief Engineer. Ian recently presented at the International Submarine Symposium in Tenerife during the World Submarine Organization (WSO) and Submersible Operators Group (SOG) conferences, sharing insights on SEAmagine’s Cross-Over Submersible Pilot Training, a program designed for experienced pilots looking to gain hands-on experience with our submersibles. This program complements the SEAmagine Professional Submersible Pilot Training Program offered in California. Learn more here: bit.ly/45fv0UI It was great to have so many submersible and industry professionals together and having excellent discussions. Huge thanks to WSO and SOG teams for organizing such a great event! #SEAmagine #Submersibles #ISS2025 #Tenerife2025 #WSO #submersiblepilottraining #pilottraining #OceanExploration #MarineTechnology #subsea

SEAmagine had a great time at #IGNITE22 this week — the Global Tech Showcase hosted at ALTASEA in San Pedro, California. Huge thanks to Ann Lee Carpenter and the amazing Braid Theory team for putting together such a well-run and inspiring event. It was awesome to do something local here in California for a change and to meet so many passionate blue tech innovators and ocean supporters. At the event, SEAmagine shared a preview of our upcoming Professional Submersible Pilot Training Program, which will be based right here in California.
