My first visit to Hanoi included dinners with CEOs of 🇨🇭and 🇻🇳 companies, giving me very useful insight into doing business in Vietnam, the need for an #FTA EFTA-Vietnam and the impact of global geopolitics in the region. A rules‑based, open trading system matters more than ever.

Honoured to be invited by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCIJ). I greatly enjoyed the insightful perspectives shared and appreciated the opportunity to connect with🇨🇭and 🇯🇵 business representatives. Many thanks to the Chamber and all participants for the exchanges.

@METI_JPN I thanked Senior Assistant Minister Akiyama Shin-ichi, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, for the excellent cooperation within the @ilo. We had a valuable exchange on tripartism, social dialogue, labour policies, and AI in the labour market. A truly valuable discussion.

🇯🇵 My first time in Japan begins with candid talks with H.E. State Minister @Kazuchika_Iwata and @minoru_kiuchi. Switzerland and Japan are truly complementary, underlining the potential for deeper cooperation. Distinct in geography, culture and language, yet like‑minded.

🇨🇭🇰🇷 In Seoul, I met with HE Trade Minister Yeo #MOTIR and Dep. Minister Park to discuss our strong economic partnership and the EFTA–Korea FTA. We reaffirmed our commitment to open, rules-based trade and highlighted the strength of our bilateral cooperation.

Met highly innovative space health & lifestyle companies in Seoul – a natural match with our country’s strengths. I invited them to visit (and invest in) Switzerland. Promising prospects for a smart partnership. 🇰🇷🇨🇭
