NFT WEEKLY RECAP 🧵 This week has been surprisingly loud for the NFT space. A lot of things happened - new tech tools, ecosystem experiments, legal drama and even some interesting moves around NFT economies. Let’s quickly run through some of the key moments: 1️⃣ Otherside launches VibeMaker @OthersideMeta officially opened VibeMaker, allowing people to start experimenting with building inside Otherside. This is basically a sandbox where creators can start placing objects and building environments using vibe coding tools. Personally I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while. 2️⃣ Quirkies partner with Otherside @quirkiesnft announced an official partnership with Otherside and will start hosting weekly community games inside the metaverse together with the ApeCoin ecosystem. Events will run every Friday. This is exactly the type of stuff that can slowly turn Otherside into a real social world. 3️⃣ Pudgy Penguins tease Pudgy World @pudgypenguins dropped a teaser for Pudgy World. The environment they showed actually looks very similar to a metaverse-style world with exploration and characters. What caught my attention is that visually it feels very close to an Otherside-type environment. So I’m really curious if Pudgy ends up integrating somewhere… or if they’re building their own world entirely. 4️⃣ Adam Weitsman buys a Death & Taxes grail @AdamWeitsman purchased one of the rarest pieces from the Death & Taxes ecosystem - a 1/1 Homer. Death & Taxes is actually a pretty wild onchain experiment where holders must continuously pay taxes or risk having their NFT burned. 5️⃣ Pudgy Penguins face trademark lawsuit Another interesting story this week - Pudgy Penguins is facing a trademark dispute with another penguin-themed brand. Honestly, this kind of thing starts happening once NFT brands grow into real businesses. When projects move into toys, retail, licensing and global distribution… legal battles eventually follow. In a strange way, it’s a sign the brand has become big enough to matter. Overall this week felt very active. And honestly… the first week of this month already feels different. Something about the energy in the space feels like things are starting to wake up again. Maybe it’s just a feeling, but I’m genuinely excited to see what the rest of this month brings. Feels like it could be a very interesting month for NFTs 👀
