Congratulations to Hannah Harper for winning this season’s @AmericanIdol competition! Hannah is a Christian and uses her talents and platform to glorify God. Her final performance was “At the Cross” with millions watching! It was a powerful moment when she became too overwhelmed by emotion to sing and her fellow contestants, including runner-up and worship leader Jordan McCullough, joined her on stage with hands raised in praise! ABC and American Idol even recently added a “Songs of Faith” night to the show. I pray this young mother of three from Missouri will continue to use her music to point people to Jesus Christ—our only Hope! Have you heard Hannah sing? christianpost.com/news/hannah-ha…

@Pressman2040 Yes, you're absolutely right. We have to identify bandits and waste no time killing them. Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume is absolutely right about this. Unfortunately, terrorist activities are deeply affecting our country.

Troops Intercept Over 400 Starlink Devices Used by Terrorists in North-East — Sector 2 Commander By: Zagazola Makama The Commander of Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI, Brig.-Gen. Beyidi Martins, says troops have intercepted and seized more than 400 Starlink communication devices allegedly used by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists across the North-East theatre. Martins disclosed this while briefing defence correspondents on ongoing strangulation and intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics and communication networks within the sector’s area of responsibility. He said the recovered Starlink terminals, linked to Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, were intercepted during sustained operations across Sambisa Forest, the Timbuktu Triangle and other terrorist enclaves in the North-East. According to him, the seizures formed part of broader efforts by troops to disrupt the logistics lifelines sustaining terrorist activities in the region. “The lifeblood of terrorist activities is logistics resupply, and we are deliberately denying them freedom to move supplies, communication equipment, fuel and other operational items across the theatre,” he said. The commander explained that the asymmetric nature of the insurgency had enabled terrorists to rely heavily on civilian supply chains and collaborators for movement of food, fuel, drugs, communication gadgets and motorcycle spare parts into remote hideouts. He acknowledged that some members of the civilian population were voluntarily collaborating with terrorists, while others acted under coercion and intimidation. “There is a high level of collusion between some members of the civil populace and the terrorists. Some do it willingly, while others are forced through threats and coercion,” Martins stated. He disclosed that troops had successfully infiltrated several transport and logistics networks used by insurgents through intelligence operations targeting transporters, traders and supply syndicates operating across the region. According to him, troops have arrested hundreds of logistics suppliers, couriers and collaborators linked to terrorist resupply operations. “It will interest you to know that arrests are made on a daily basis. So far, we have disrupted over 400 logistics-related cases and networks supporting terrorist operations,” he said. The commander added that troops had intercepted consignments of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), drugs, medical supplies, food items and spare parts suspected to be destined for terrorist camps. He noted that the seizures were made along major movement corridors stretching from Kano through Nguru and other routes leading into the Timbuktu Triangle, Sambisa Forest and adjoining enclaves. Martins further revealed that local livestock markets had also been exploited by insurgents to dispose of rustled animals and generate operational funds. To counter the trend, he said security forces, local authorities and market stakeholders had introduced livestock verification measures requiring proper identification of ownership before animals could be sold. “If animals are not properly identified, they will not be sold. Through that arrangement, we are tracking and disrupting their sources of financing,” he said. The commander stated that the ongoing strangulation operations had significantly weakened terrorist logistics chains and reduced their operational flexibility across the sector. He also disclosed that sustained military offensives and intelligence-driven operations had led to the surrender of several terrorists and members of their families within the area of responsibility. According to him, continuous pressure from troops had denied insurgents freedom of movement and disrupted their ability to sustain attacks on communities and security formations. Martins reaffirmed the commitment of sector 2 to intensifying offensive operations, intercepting terrorist supply routes and dismantling communication networks.

@ZagazOlaMakama If Mr Daniel Nathaniel isn’t connected to terrorism, then how did he invite illegal miners in? He’s gotta be up to no good. But seriously, we need to work with the U.S. train our army to get rid of terrorism for good.

Security sources further disclosed that troops arrested one suspect, Mr Daniel Nathaniel, 42, who allegedly invited the illegal miners to operate at the closed mining site. The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the Mobile Police Force in NTV for further necessary action. Military authorities said efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing assailants and prevent further criminal activities around illegal mining locations in the state.

TROOPS RESCUE ABDUCTEES, REUNITE FAMILIES, ARREST SUSPECTED TERRORIST ASSOCIATES IN NORTH EAST OPERATIONS Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), under the ongoing Operation DESERT SANITY, have continued to record significant operational successes, including the rescue of abducted civilians, reunification of families, and the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators across the theatre. In a recent development, troops acting on credible intelligence following an air interdiction mission around the Mandara Mountains, successfully rescued six abducted women and children during a well-coordinated operation at a suspected terrorist crossing point near Amuda on 12 May 2026. The rescued victims—Aisha Musa (18), Aisha Mohammed (17), Fatima Yahaya (20), Saudatu Musa (4), Garba Mohammed (5), and Mohammed Yahaya (3 months)—were among residents of Ngoshe community abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during an attack on the community on 3 March 2026. Following their rescue, the victims were administered immediate medical care at a military facility and subsequently reunited with their families through the community leader (Bulama) of Ngoshe, Mallam Adamu Gunda. In a separate operation on the same day, troops of OPHK deployed at Tango 7 location in Konduga Local Government Area arrested a suspected terrorist associate, Hauwa Bulama (40), during an operational engagement. Items recovered from the suspect include detergent, washing soap, a torchlight, and food seasoning cubes. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect was allegedly en route to Gezuwa to link up with four of her children suspected to be members of the terrorist group. The suspect has been handed over to appropriate authorities for further action. Similarly, in a follow-up operation based on intelligence from ongoing investigations and communication intercepts, troops OPHK under Sector 2, supported by elements of Military Intelligence , arrested two additional suspects identified as Bakura (18) and Adiza (17) in Damaturu, Yobe State. The arrests are connected to an earlier operation involving the interception of a suspected ammunition courier, Ba’akaka Abubakar (alias Modogol), who was apprehended while finalising plans to supply ammunition to terrorists. Preliminary findings revealed that Adiza had been tasked to collect ammunition from the earlier suspect for onward delivery to a terrorist commander. The suspects are currently in custody, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the said terrorist commander and recover the ammunition intended for delivery. The Joint Task Force reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to intensifying ongoing operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, rescuing abducted civilians, and restoring lasting peace and security across the North East region. The Military High Command commends the troops for their utmost professionalism and resilience, urging them to sustain the current operational tempo. @ZagazOlaMakama Terrorism just won't end huh. I hate how mining areas are being taken over by terrorists. Once your army gets stronger through U.S. training, mining sites won’t be taken over by illegal miners anymore.

I am a Maronite Aramaic Christian, Catholic from North Israel, Galilee. For the last 7 decades, the Vatican failed to protect Christians in our Middle East region, their appeasement policy as in this photo and their deplomacy weakened Christianity in the holyland and led Muslims to continue their oppression against all Christians specifically in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Bethlehem. In the past, Vatican acted against our Syriac Maronite Patriarch Anton Arida who pushed for peace with Israel. Now I hear many people in the ground here say, we lost our hope in this type of leadership and we look for Trump as a defender of our existence as Christians in this region. I call the Pope to collaborate with President Trump instead of appeasing Iranian Islamic evil regime and be in the same page with President Trump instead of clashing with his leadership. This would benefit all Christians, from all sides, from all backgrounds. Thank you for your attention. MAGGA

Defense News Nigeria@DefenseNigeria·
ECOWAS has revived its push to create a regional counterterrorism force to combat terrorism and security threats. Officials first unveiled the proposal in August 2025, with an ambitious 260,000 strong force and an annual budget of $2.5 billion. The military chiefs have now scaled the plan down to a 1,650 strong counterterrorism brigade that would serve as the force’s core. So far, Benin, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal have committed to contribute troops, with the troops stationed in their respective countries, ready for deployment. But once again the question remains, is this all talk and no action? ECOWAS has been floating the idea of a regional force since 2004, but has been unable to replicate the achievements of its earlier ECOWAS Monitoring Group (ECOMOG), which intervened in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea-Bissau in the 1990s, and the Ivory Coast in the early 2000s. The challenge has always been funding, and of course the longstanding divide between the Anglophone and Francophone blocs.

@Abugazzaa I don't think you can blame the military entirely for this one, we've seen videos of civilians rallying around these groups, either attending one function or the other. Except this case is where the civilians are entirely in a separate space where bandits are not or haven't 1/2
