Autobiographical memories are retrieved over time. But what brain regions are involved as specific event details are dynamically recalled? We found transient neural activity related to recall of specific details in category-selective cortex. jneurosci.org/content/early/…

Good news with a pending grant, so I will be posting an ad for postdoctoral researcher opening soon. In the meantime, if you know anyone interested in interactions b/w event cognition, attention/perception, and spatial/episodic memory, please have them reach out to me!

@breannajrogers This process is seriously brutal, and you’re absolutely not alone in this feeling. Happy to look at your materials and/or talk through paths forward if that’d be helpful!

I got my final rejection for the application cycle and I really cannot help but feel defeated. I feel like I’ll never get into a program.

I am super excited to share that my lab is moving to @UCSanDiego this fall! We study memory, misinformation, and aging, with a focus on why young and older adults share fake news. If those topics interest you, keep an eye out - we will be recruiting at all levels!

Delighted to share my cat Belle has graduated w/ her PhD from Harvard. She has worked long & hard for this. When just a kitten, she published groundbreaking research in Psych Science identifying what meow pitch is most effective for getting humans to give her chicken treats!

After lots of delays, I landed in Newark at 3 AM after the last train to Princeton had left. The woman sitting next to me on my flight drove me, adding two hours to her own trip in the middle of the night. We exchanged numbers so I’d know that she made it home, and she sent this

Happy to share this paper where we review behavioural and neuroimaging evidence suggesting that older adults store too much information in their memories, relative to young adults. These memory representations can be viewed as "cluttered" or "enriched" depending on the context.

Lifetime of knowledge can clutter #memories of older adults, researchers suggest. Despite this, the wealth of prior knowledge can improve #creativity and decision-making. Read more in @TrendsCognSci: cell.com/trends/cogniti… @tarekamerphd @jordwynn @UofT Lynn Hasher
