Safety first! In partnership with OCPS Transportation @OCPSnews, we've introduced a new Reunification Bus. Designed to support schools during emergency drills and preparedness efforts. It's one more way we're working to keep our OCPS family safe.

EPA Vargas has hit the road again with Training & Exercise! This time, facilitating a tabletop exercise at Legacy Middle School Tabletop exercises are an effective & efficient way to test school staff's emergency readiness and their critical thinking skills Thank you Legacy MS!

Emergencies are not always hurricanes, sometimes they're boil water advisories on the 2nd day of the new school year! When this happens, it's a top priority to provide the schools w/ safe drinking water🥤 Thanks to our partners at @OrangeCoFL Utilities for providing this water!

It is too early to say if Tropical Storm Erin will bring significant impacts to central Florida. We should have a better idea by Friday (8/15). Regardless of the storm's final track, now is a great time to ensure you are ready as we enter the peak of hurricane season.

On August 1st, the State of Florida enacted a permanent sales tax exemption on select disaster preparedness supplies Since we recently entered what is projected to be a highly active hurricane season, this weekend would be a good time to stock up on your emergency supplies

Before we head into the weekend, and especially if anyone plans to take care of outdoor or yard work at home, please be aware of the continued extreme heat conditions and know the signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed!
