Atlanta is starting a new public transit system near the airport that uses small self-driving electric pods. People can ride these pods on demand, and they travel on a special path without a driver.





Metro service is operating with delays or modifications. Bus and Regional Rail service are in the process of being restored line by line. Service on the Media/Wawa Line has resumed on a very limited basis with only the following trains operating on a Saturday schedule: 3546, 3558, 3570, 5345, 5357, and 5369. All other trains remain suspended. Service on the Manayunk/Norristown Line has resumed on a very limited basis with only the following trains operating on a Saturday schedule: 2445, 2449, 2461, 2473, 4244, 4248, 4260, and 4272. Average daily ridership in January 2026 was 714,475 unlinked passenger trips across all modes. This is up 1% or 8,627 unlinked trips from January 2025 and up 3% from December 2025. Bus ridership increased by 4% or 13,378 unlinked trips per weekday compared to this time last year.
