Slake test at APAS. Saline, compacted area has poor aggregate stability. Comparison from better area was far better (0.8).

We had a great time attending the Grain Expo at @Agribition this week.
We had Henry & Fallon from the @SE_ResearchFarm join us to display slake testing and how much you can learn about soil health from it.

The chickpeas were bad this year, so no new crop kabulis. May have some black desi ones though.

The beans are usually just grown in gaps between trials on our rolling landscape. They get a herbicide and that's about it. This year we had nice bean production for the late planted ones. The early ones had quality problems due to humidity.

Our beans, lentils, chickpeas, flax, and mustard are distributed by the Carlyle Food Bank to the southeast region through their food hampers and also through the local libraries.
