LATEST - Fans WON’T be allowed on-field AFTER Friday’s match if Alex Johnston breaks the all-time try scoring record. The NRL will host a post-match ceremony but Venues NSW don’t want the Allianz Stadium playing surface damaged. Sydney FC plays there next Tuesday. @9NewsSyd

@Naivelyinformed We've also had 34 matches without an opponent being sent off*, which is our second-longest streak. Longest was 43 between Feb 23 - Apr 24.
* Excluding the SU58 reserve keeper being red carded from the bench in last year's Aus Cup.

@Naivelyinformed Unfortunately I only have *scored* penalties before the last few seasons, but I think you're right.
I think we've had 30 games without a penalty now, since the ACL2 QF in Mar 2025.
Before that the longest period without *scoring* a penalty was 27 matches, Jan - Oct 2016.

🇹🇷 CRAZY: The goalkeeper hit a seagull with the ball right during a match of the Istanbul amateur league! Fortunately, a player was on the field who was able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the bird and save it from death. He saved the bird!
