Today was Kindergarten Preview Day ... the very first step for the Class of 2039! We were excited to see some familiar faces from our Little Lions Early Learning Academy and many new students ready to become Lions! It was a big first step for their families, too, as they had to let their kiddos head off to the classrooms with the teachers while they stayed behind with the principals! It was hard to tell who was being the most brave! 🦁 We can't wait to see you all again soon! 💚🤍💚 #SFLionPride

We would like to thank our PTA for treating our staff to pieces during Pi Day! So appreciated!

Dr. Unger's second grade Mini-Makers were hard at work today in the HS Fab Lab creating the desk organizers that they've sold to teachers and also sewing the pieces of a lovely quilt. New skills and talents were on display all around. #SFLionPride #sfeslions

Ms. Amato's MS advisory students rallied around "Acts of Kindness" as their focus for the year, and Elizabeth Paolicelli and Anna Trahan reached out to their first grade teachers, Ms. Sarnowski and Ms. Slencak, to get them involved. Together the MSers and 1st graders are working together to make "busy bags" for children as they wait for appointments at a pediatrician's office in Bridgeville. Today, the students worked on coloring and writing in get well cards that were designed by Ms. Violi. The groups will gather again in March and April to finish the total project. At today's @TRETC2026 Conference, "Rewiring Learning Building Bridges & Strengthening Connections," four of our ES Lion Learners, Abbimaan Mittal, Kyle Xin, Kellen Connelly, and Cole Fisher assisted Drs Callison and Unger, along with Mrs. Colangelo, in showcasing the ES Learning Lab Gingerbread House and the data science that it was used for. It was worth giving up a day off from school when they got to help transport the house to Fox Chapel, rebuild it, and show off the data they gathered, analyzed, and reported. Way to go, Lions! #SFLionPride #sfeslions
