Some pretty horrific reporting today about the job that I love 🚒 BUT I know from past experience that there is still much to be done. No one can really walk in the shoes of others, but we CAN listen & we SHOULD believe. This stuff is reality for some & has a lasting impact 😔

Last Friday Shropshire and Wrekin Fire Authority ratified the decision for Simon Hardiman to be my successor. I am confident Simon will do a great job and I can now start getting my head around leaving the best job in the world with the best colleagues.

Great to wear my @SuffolkFire uniform and represent the Civilian Services with Rick Clarke and @henryjgriffin laying a wreath to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms.
