This week I was reading ‘Bear Hunt’ to my yr 1 class in the library. A boy from yr 6 walked past on his way to the playground and stopped to listen. He stayed for a while and gave me a little thumbs up before going out…..

READING FOR PLEASURE has a bigger impact on children's life chances than any test scores - especially tests as cruel, pointless & misguided as this. If your kids haven't been totally put off reading for life by Sats, please let them just ENJOY it again! theguardian.com/education/2023…
