Through the lens of sustainability, we asked: what do we eat? How is it produced? And who feeds the world? Above all, we reaffirmed: transformation is possible. Together.

João Campari reinforced the need for cross-ministry coherence to meet Brazil’s climate goals. Finance must flow, through tools like the Climate Fund and inclusive strategies, so frontline communities can lead the way to a just, sustainable food future

Toni emphasized: smallholder farmers, Indigenous Peoples, and traditional communities are not only impacted by climate change, they are part of the solution. With regenerative agriculture, they protect biodiversity and build resilient food systems.

Session 6 of the #SFSPConference brought the event to a powerful close, with a spotlight on aligning climate action and food systems transformation. A key message: Brazil is stepping up as a global leader ahead of #COP30. #SustainableFoodSystems

@kiraboaggie (Food Rights Alliance, Uganda) shares what made the #SFSPConference so powerful: seeing people from across the world, from near and far, come together in one place. It’s this unity across sectors and regions that sparks true transformation.

Jarot Indarto, Director of Food and Agriculture at BAPPENAS (Indonesia), shared his country's journey in integrating food, nutrition, and climate policies through the Convergence Initiative.

Moderated by Stefanos Fotiou, Director of the FAO Office for Sustainable Development Goals and Director of the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, session 5 brought together global leaders to discuss how to align food systems action with climate and development goals.

These sessions reinforced the need for integrated approaches that connect environmental, nutritional, and socio-economic priorities. Designing sustainable food futures means working together—across disciplines, sectors & regions. #SustainableFoodSystems

In both workshops, participants formed working groups to co-create practical solutions. The focus: moving from discussion to implementation, identifying key levers of change, and building cross-sector synergies.

At the final #SFSPConference workshops, participants joined two dynamic sessions focused on action & collaboration: •Workshop 5: Aligning food systems with biodiversity, nutrition & climate goals •Workshop 6: Building circular food systems & reducing food loss and waste.

Because real transformation depends on more than intention. It demands evidence, structure, and shared responsibility. #SustainableFoodSystems

Ricardo Mota, from the Pact Against Hunger, highlighted that over 70% of Brazilians can't afford a healthy diet. Food inflation and affordability must be tackled with evidence-based, cost-effective, and dignity-driven public policies.

As the #SFSPConference wraps up, the final day opened with a key question: How can we measure progress and ensure accountability in food systems transformation?
