They're called "data centers" because calling them "mass surveillance centers" would cause a national uprising

Whoopee, huzzah. AMC and Odeon theatres attracted more than 5 million guests globally. Biggest domestic weekend of 2026 so far for AMC. The Mandalorian and Grogu was the FIFTH movie to open above $75 million domestically in the last two months. businesswire.com/news/home/2026…

This is absolutely insane. We are causing our own extinction with data centers.

CROWELL, TEXAS RESIDENTS COMPLAIN ABOUT LIGHT AND NOISE FROM NEW GOOGLE DATA CENTER Residents in Crowell, Texas, are reporting severe light pollution and constant noise linked to a nearby large-scale Google AI data center under construction. Locals say the facility operates 24/7 with intense exterior lighting that brightens the night sky and continuous mechanical noise from cooling systems and generators. The project, part of a broader hyperscale data center expansion in Texas, has drawn opposition from some residents who argue it disrupts rural life and raises concerns about environmental impact, including light pollution, noise levels, and resource use. Town hall meetings have reportedly included complaints from residents on both sides of the political spectrum.

IF WE DON’T START TALKING ABOUT DATA CENTERS NOW. WE LOSE EVERYTHING. WATER. ENERGY. LAND. THIS IS BIGGER THAN MOST PEOPLE REALIZE. Global data centers already consume 415 TWh of electricity (1.5% of the world’s total in 2024) and by 2030? Projected to hit 945 TWh nearly double in 4 years, rivaling entire countries’ power use. In the US alone: 176 TWh (4.4% of national electricity) today, heading toward 6-12% by 2028. One hyperscale campus can suck as much power as 100,000+ homes. They’re guzzling billions of gallons of water daily for cooling. enough to stress rivers, lakes, and entire communities while blacking out grids. This isn’t “progress.” It’s an unchecked explosion of AI infrastructure that’s about to spike your electric bills, drain local water, and reshape energy policy for decades. We need transparency, smart regluation, and real debate before Big Tech owns the future and we pay the price

The Coachella Valley Data Center controversy is heating up. The area where they are building this is close to homes, farms, and schools. Who the hell is choosing these sites? I guess money really does matter. Who is getting rich off the monstrosities? #DemsUnited

The US Department of Energy mapped out all of the current data centers, data centers under construction & data centers currently in the planning stages. We’ve heard for years how vulnerable our grid is. Now we are supposed to believe that it can withstand all of this new demand?

This is the Rio Grande in New Mexico It’s currently completely dry Meta’s data center in Los Lunas in central New Mexico is using 75 million gallons of water per year from the Rio Grande water But they’re not the only Data Center using Rio Grande water, there’s many more The Rio Grande River is dry through here for a few reasons - Extremely low snowpack this winter - Record-low reservoir levels like Elephant Butte, which is New Mexico’s largest on the Rio Grande are at critically low levels - Agriculture uses 85% of water use from the Rio Grande in New Mexico, it’s unsustainable long-term - Data Centers The exact number actively drawing from it right now is not fully public due to limited transparency on water rights Total data centers in New Mexico: Around 21 operating or planned facilities. These centers collectively consume up to 1.8 billion gallons per year Large proposed projects like Project Jupiter near El Paso are in the Lower Rio Grande region and would require significant ongoing water use This isn’t sustainable. This can’t continue

7 in 10 Americans now say they do not want a data center built in their local area. This bipartisan resistance is uniting red and blue states as communities push back against the expansion of Big Tech infrastructure. Read: rollingstone.com/politics/polit…

The Silver Act would create 2 NEW Silver depositories in each of the 4 US time zones That means the federal government would be buying tons of silver to reduce systemic risk The silver squeeze is on the horizon, and along with it, it is potentially a major short squeeze in meme stocks like gamestop and AMC, not to mention precious metal miners like Hycroft

These guys really thought they were catching a free ride to America. Something people need to be reminded of is that Afghani's who did this didn't understand they couldn't do that. They thought they were going to make it to America.
