In response to the severe monsoon rains, tropical storms and cyclones that have caused widespread flooding and landslides across Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) has committed a total of SG$250,000 in humanitarian aid. (1/3)

This includes SG$50,000 each to support relief and recovery efforts by the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Indonesian Red Cross, Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Thai Red Cross Society, and Viet Nam Red Cross Society. SRC will also be launching a public fundraising appeal soon.

Since 4 Nov, Typhoon Kalmaegi has caused unprecedented flooding and landslides across Cebu and the Visayas regions, displacing over half a million people. The Philippines has declared a state of emergency as communities continue to grapple with the aftermath. (1/3)

In response, the Philippine Red Cross is providing critical assistance, including hot meals, psychosocial first aid and hygiene promotion.
