Thanks to the generosity of families, artificial turf has been installed on the playgrounds & the tennis court fencing was replaced. A MS Religion Annex was added & our garden has been reimagined for students to cultivate. We💚seeing our Sabers playing & learning in these spaces!

Excited to be here with @SGSAustin faculty working with @ijkelleher and getting our brains primed to translate what we know about education research, neuroscience research and psychology research into classroom practices.

Transformative teaching & learning happens here! This summer, we studied the book Neuroteach. Now, we're building on that with @TheCTTL and their research into Mind Brain Education, which is in many ways the scientific fulfillment of our St. Gabriel’s approach.

These 1st graders in Ms. Wentworth's class were filled with joy while working together & learning how to "program" their robot to navigate all the way across the Commons with different colored squares that signaled directions. 💚💡✨😄

This was a #ProjectBasedLearning initiative combining what they are learning in Spanish class with their artistic and expressive skills. Thank you Maestras Wey, McCarter, and Collins for this powerful learning opportunity! Go Sabers!

St. Gabriel's students created masks that reflected themselves or an aspect of the #FestivalDeBlancosYNegros that they identified with. The art is currently on display at the @ESBMACC thru Jan 15! The students are so proud of what they have created.

We were featured in @NBOAnet's magazine related to enrollment & retention during the pandemic. The article mentions new programs we launched, new hires, and our ambassador programs, which helped bring in new families and reaffirm current families’ decisions to enroll here.

Congrats to our Drama elective students for a great show last week, Death by Dessert! Shout out to Mr. Tracy for helping these students showcase their talent and thanks to the Tech Theater class for making the props/set design in the d.lab. Go Sabers!

Today, we celebrate All Souls' Day, also known as #DiaDeLosMuertos/#DayOfTheDead. The altar was created in collaboration between our Art & Spanish depts., as well as through the assistance of families who provided photos of deceased loved ones.❤️
