Do I feel terrible that François ever had to face this kind of unfair and bigoted hatred from a fandom for a show that he absolutely adores? Yes. Am I reassured by the realization that he hasn't allowed it to diminish his hopes and desires for a life where he can proudly and seriously commit to the man he loves in a marriage one day? That despite the best efforts from some of the worst people, he's still a hopeless romantic? Hell yes.
