[Author Note 2] For some light spoilers: Henry is in a timeline that, for some reason unknown to Henry, is drastically different than the ones he's used to. Charles seemingly doesn't trust him, even though they usually hit it off instantly.

[Author note] This is directly based on a fanfic I read a few years ago that seems to have disappeared, so I'm remaking it & changing it with details I wanted to write into it back when I first read it. I don't remember it 1 for 1, so if anyone remembers the OG, that's why.

So he starts going through all the impulsive choices instinctively, barely paying attention, cruising through missions like clockwork, barely paying attention to exactly what it is he's doing until...
