What starts as a quick, everyday car wash turns into a full-blown nightmare…
A woman pulls into a fully self-serve car wash in Pennsylvania—no employees on site, just machines and bays.
She starts the cycle, soap sprays everywhere… but then everything stops. No rinse. The big door stays locked tight.
She hits the emergency button over and over—nothing.
She lays on the horn, hoping someone outside will hear. The sound echoes in the empty bay, but no one comes.
Her sister was on video chat when she pulled in… but service drops completely inside the enclosed space. Connection gone. Panic sets in.
She finally gets out of the car (terrified to do it) and edges toward the bay door for even one bar of signal.
There, she can text her sister again—video still glitches, but it's something. Her sister tells her: "Document everything, just in case."
She leaves desperate voicemails for the car wash's number and the emergency sign line. No answer.
After 15-20 minutes of trying everything—honking, yelling at passing feet outside the door ("Hey, don't leave! Hello! Somebody let me out!")—she calls the police.
They arrive about 30 minutes later and free her. Total time trapped: nearly an hour in the soapy, locked bay with zero help in sight.
Being alone when everyday tech and "safety" systems fail is straight-up terrifying. A real wake-up call about how vulnerable we can be in automated places.

@Morbidful There is goodness and kindness in this world.
A neighborhood got together to surprise their UPS driver of 13 yrs with a thank you and appreciation gathering. Touching to see and he was quite surprised.
