How can systems & organisations improve their capability for getting great outcomes on a sustainable basis? By implementing continuous improvement on a system-wide basis. So it's very helpful that @HealthFdn has published two new briefing papers: 1) Improvement as mainstream business: health.org.uk/publications/r… 2) A guide to making the case for improvement: gbr01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%… Thank you @PennyPereira1 and Bryan Jones

Please don't mix fruits and a whole lot of raw green and colored veggies into a blender and make yourself a detox juice if you have pre existing liver disease. This is the second patient this week who seems to have developed kidney injury after daily consumption of home made fruit+veggie juice. A blend of gooseberries, beetroot, spinach & green leaves along with a host of citrus fruits is a new fad thats developing after WhatsApp and YouTube "doctors" have been promoting then as "liver health" options. Please don't do it. It can cause OXALATE KIDNEY INJURY and the kidneys take a LONG time to recover.

Abstract is one of the most important parts of any research paper — it's the first thing anyone reads. But a lot of folks struggle with writing good abstracts. ChatGPT can help you draft quality abstracts in a matter of minutes. Here's how to do it (prompts included):

Earlier this week, @POTUS Biden issued an executive order on artificial intelligence – a breakthrough technology that has the power to change the world in ways we’re only beginning to understand. I wanted to share some of the books, articles, and podcasts that have helped shape my perspective on artificial intelligence over the past year.

@NewshaGhaeli @BiobotAnalytics 5) let this sink in— - In 2019, the CDC’s budget for wastewater intelligence was 0 - In the 2020-21 fiscal year, CDC’s budget for wastewater intelligence = $2.5M - In the 2022-23 fiscal year, CDC’s budget for wastewater intelligence = $275M But they gave it to Alphabet instead?

@DrEricDing A story as old as time. Or at least since 1998 when I got to witness it first hand. Bibi is a liar and worse. I'm Jewish and super pro-Israel and watching peace negotiations between the two in real time made me root for Arafat. But still... Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱

So… Blinken had to arm-twist and cajole Netanyahu for 9 hours to try not to commit full ethnic cleansing and let 2 million trapped people get a safe zone to get food/water/medicine. Okay, got it.
Edward Wong@ewong

.@SecBlinken negotiated for 9 hours w/ Netanyahu & aides to get them to agree to form a plan to get aid into Gaza & look at setting up “safe zones” for civilians, a senior State Dept. official said. Biden asked Blinken on Sunday to return to Israel after Blinken met w/ Sisi.

@superbucks2050 @BlueNightBird @techreview Introduce a deposit for plastic bottles in most of the US, UK, & EU to steer spending toward glass and reward bottle returns. Encourage HIGHER deposits for plastic than for glass containers holding equal volumes. Green Germany had deposits 30+ yrs ago, yet few US States have any.

@BlueNightBird @techreview Wildlife with rare exceptions don't usually live long enough to feel the impact. Small children, who also are innocent, very well could live long lives. Of course, whales and walruses are long-lived, too. Many of us tried to stop the transition from glass to plastic for naught.

@ReallyAmerican1 @ronald_2008 Thanks. Phrase this positively: One quarter of American wealth is distributed *more equally now* than it has been in the last forty years, thanks to President Biden’s and Democrats' economic policies, wiping out large inequalities in just two years. TRULY INCREDIBLE: According to a brand new working paper/study by economists David Autor, Arindrajit Dube, and Annie McGrew, in the past two years alone, President Biden’s economic policies have wiped out a quarter of the wealth inequality that was built in the previous forty years, which were largely a result of Republican policies. Ever since the Reaganomics of slashing tax rates for the wealthy and massive deregulation and anti-worker policies, the U.S. saw a huge increase in wealth inequality. But that's changing thanks to Biden and Democrats' economic policies. The economists detail how there has been a remarkably rapid compression in the US wage distribution, and a dramatic increase in real wages for the lowest income earners. This has done more to reduce income inequality than any President in modern American history. The facts are clear every 👋 single 👋 time👋 Democrats create an economy that works for everyone, not just the richest Americans. And President Biden's policies are working. Why don't you think this is bigger news?
