My film choice for today Sunday, the Eagle Huntress at 2.30 The Powell Theatre Sherborne. Kazakh language film set in Mongolia, this true story has got it all, traditions, amazing scenery. A girl can hunt with an eagle. A camera can fly.

A Fantastic Woman @SHIFFSherborne today: very well written acted and directed portrayal of humanity rendering null questions of gender identity. Top notch.

The Wind Rises (風立ちぬ) @SHIFFSherborne today: deft, lovely and moving fictionalised tale of Horikoshi Jiro and the Zero.

Pan's Labyrinth @SHIFFSherborne today: that movie does not get any less scary. So good, and not for the faint of heart.
