@SHLab4 Carotenoids protect the chlorophyll from photooxidation. "Bleachers" are herbicides which inhibit carotenoid biosynthesis. Thus, using these herbicides leads to the degradation of chlorophyll, and result in typical bleaching symptoms in plants.

@SHLab4 Try @IPKGatersleben or other genebanks for small seed amounts. You can then either multiply up if you need larger amounts or try approaching #betterbarley research institutes.
