. @lizzo I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I genuinely wanted to apologise properly for the things I said about you on the tl. I was being hateful, disrespectful and way too comfortable saying things online that I never should’ve said in the first place. Calling you fat, insulting your music and acting like nobody supports you was unnecessary, immature and honestly just mean for no reason. At the time I was caught up in being shady and trying to get laughs and attention online, but looking back at it now I can fully admit I crossed a line. Even if I don’t stan an artist or agree with everything they do, that still doesn’t give me the right to attack someone personally the way I did. You’re still a real person with feelings and I contributed to the kind of negativity that people constantly throw at you every day, and I genuinely feel bad about that. The truth is you’ve built an amazing career for yourself, you’ve got loyal fans, talent, confidence and success that most people could never achieve. Whether people want to admit it or not, your impact in music and pop culture is real. I let my own negativity and online behaviour cloud that and instead of being normal I decided to be cruel. So genuinely, I’m sorry for everything I said and the way I came at you publicly. I know an apology doesn’t erase it, but I wanted to own up to it properly instead of pretending it never happened. I’m trying to be less toxic online and hold myself accountable when I’m wrong, and this is definitely one of those moments 😭 And if somehow this reaches you… a follow back would heal me spiritually and complete my redemption arc forever 🫶
