Final topic talk of the day…@andrewmerwood on the implications of cancer care evolution for cancer & palliative care psychology

Justin Grayer sharing his experiences of developing equality, diversity and inclusivity at the Royal Marsden and reflecting on the work of the psycho-oncology EDI community of practice. Creating a space in job plans for EDI reflections sounds like a really valuable initiative.

Our fourth and final mini-talk explores the role of the clinical neuropsychologist in cancer - Gill Cooke is sharing her experience supporting patients having an awake craniotomy, plus support for patients with glioma, prehabilitation, and psychological support more generally!

Our third mini-talk comes from Marilyn Owen, talking about the role of the psychologist in supporting women considering risk-reducing mastectomy including how we work sensitively with the emotional response to surgery and to an increased risk of breast cancer.

Sarah Harrison talking about teenage and young adult (TYA) psychology services, really interesting to hear about how these services operate nationally as well as Sarah’s reflections on her work in Newcastle and the North East

Our next presentation is a series of mini-talks covering different areas of practice - first up is Kathleen McHugh talking about the role of the psychologist in stem-cell transplant
