Last Steam Day at Dunaskin, nr Ayr. Open from 11am - 4.30pm Sun 29th Sep. See our steam model railway in the Museum, and there'e even a layout for the children to play with. Cafe with soup, sandwiches, teas, coffee and soft drinks, plus a shop for that all important souvenir.

Last Steam Day at Dunaskin, nr Ayr. This is a view of our newly extended running line, looking towards the Southern Uplands. We're based at Dunaskin, only ten miles from Ayr town centre. Take the A713 towards Dalmellington, and Dunaskin can be found just a mile beyond Patna.

Our oldest locomotive - Dalmellington Iron Co No. 16 was built by Andrew Barclay, Sons & Co of Kilmarnock in 1910. It can be seen in the Museum at Dunaskin on Sun 29th Sep. This is the last time we are open this year. Only 10 miles from Ayr, up the A713. scottishindustrialrailwaycentre.org.uk
