I did strict carnivore for 7 months. It almost killed me. - My thyroid tanked. - LDL and total cholesterol tripled. - I lost way more weight than was healthy. - Went gaunt. - Cold all the time. - Libido disappeared. - Sleep was horrendous. I was eating "the cleanest diet on the planet" and deteriorating in real time. Pattern I see now with every exec on keto or carnivore for 12+ months is the same story. Lean on the surface but falling apart underneath. Bloodwork "optimized" while the system shuts down to survive. @RCXFactor @yoursimmo11 That’s not evolution. There is no zero carb diet in nature. Every studied indigenous population ever eat carbs. Some more, some less. And the ones eating less carbs eat only raw animal foods. Carnivore diet is as bad as a vegan diet. Both are eating disorders.

@yoursimmo11 Well I mean you might have some sort of birth defect but barring that, you really can't stop being a carnivore. That's evolution. It's not a fad diet it's the only natural diet that exists. Everything else is a fad diet.

It's better to take aspirin daily than intermittently. With daily doses, the stomach adapts and less damage gets done to it. Damage after seven days of continuous use is significantly less than after one day. The worst way to use it is intermittent, on-and-off-again dosing where the mucosa never settles into its adapted state.

@youinview Thank you so much for the reply. Cant get T3 but have access to NDT, would that be a good option? Also could you describe a day of eating for you? I have a hard time understanding what people that follow the teachings of RP eat during a day. Is it mainly a liquid diet?

I followed the work of Dr Ray Peat and what he lays out for cellular healing. T3 for thyroid, high carb, moderate protein diet, fruit and milk for sugar and protein, reduction in fat intake, and no PUFA intake. The T3 has been the biggest factor. I always combine it with sugar, magnesium and salt to support maximum ATP production. Hope this helps! I would also suggest reading Hypothyroidism the unsuspecting illness by Dr. Broda Barnes. He is who kicked things off for Peat.

I used to be a model in 2019. Lean, but tight. Trained, but always holding. I thought the answer was more, more training, more discipline, more control. But underneath, my body was in stress. Jaw tight. Shallow breathing. Fascia compressed. I stopped forcing and everything changed.
