In celebration of the Fall Equinox, and coinciding with their science lesson on the phases of the moon, the Art Club members made these cosmic lunarscape drawings using soft pastel and chalk. Inspired by satellite images of the moon as seen from the Earth’s point of view.

Last week, the 2nd Graders learned about the Feast of the Holy Cross. The cross represents Christ's victory over death. The feast celebrates the redemptive transformation of a barbaric instrument of torture into a divine “tree of life” that brings hope to humankind. #sischoolsac
