St John Ambulance DofE

Today, an incredible group of young people from @StJohnAmbulance visited Buckingham Palace to celebrate achieving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, joined by loved ones and dedicated DofE Leaders as part of the award’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

This weekend, our St John Ambulance DofE teams are providing medical support for Ten Tors, camping overnight at two of the event’s remote first aid posts.

Our first National DofE Expedition of the year took place in the stunning Peak District, with Gold & Silver teams from across the country. Huge congratulations to all who completed it, and thanks to our volunteers led by James Pepper!

A fantastic few days on Dartmoor National Park for my Hill & Moorland Leader training, made possible by the DofE Resilience Fund 🌧🌨 Looking forward to using it to help even more St John Ambulance cadets complete their DofE awards. Now to log 20 more days before assessment.

Another great day with @DofE, this time alongside DofE Managers. Fantastic networking, celebrating DofE’s 70th anniversary, and gaining early insights into the new strategy launching later this year.

Our new Standards of Dress procedure is here! For adults wearing their Gold DofE badge on ceremonial uniform, there is a change of position. This should be affixed centrally on the right sleeve, 5cm immediately below and central to the base of the St John shoulder flash.
