I’ve been very quiet on here over the past year but I thought I’d give you all a bit of an update on what I’ve got up too throughout the year from district CL1 course to promotion to the highest rank a cadet can achieve within the air cadets and everything in-between

After an amazing weekend in the north we’re back home after a few dramas on the train home. Loved every minute working with the south east region team at TC10 and making some new friends. I’m already looking forward to going back next year!

Just one part of an incredible amount of support vehicles heading in to #nottinghillcarnival today with over 30 support personnel for @SJALogistics @SJALondonComms and @ocm_events supporting the medical provision for the biggest street festival in Europe

Well after a very long and hard day we have 750+ young people from as far away as Malta and Gibraltar in to camp and their tents built. Having just enjoyed a lovely meal it’s now time to ensure that all site tasks are completed! @SJAYouthEng #nationalyouthcamp24

Today marks 2 years as the National @SJAEPRR Youth Representative for @stjohnambulance. The last two years have been unique; but being able to represent all of @SJAYouthEng's volunteers has been an incredible privilege. To my colleagues and friends, THANK YOU!

More new and shiny through the door...our new @WASAmbulances @mantruckbusuk Bariatric and Complex patient specialist vehilce. 16 in total will be placed across @EastEnglandAmb and @EEAST_HART. @HeyTomAbell @ant_brett

And with that event day of @LondonMarathon 2024 is done. A long but very enjoyable day out in sector 4. Now back to the hotel for a sleep and back tomorrow for the final day or repacking and re organising. Thank you to @mattstevenssja for being our amazing lead!

@armyemdoc We in St John have rolled it out to all clinical grades (right down to a standard first aider) over the past year as we are cutting down drastically on our use of entanox and personally found it so useful for patients who would have up to know had to settle for paracetamol

What do you know about the green whistle? (aka Penthrox) Methoxyflurane is delivered through an inhaler. Onset is <1m and lasts >30m after 6-8 puffs. Our Coalition partners use it often. It was previously available in the US but pulled after case reports of AKI from prolonged use. The @US_FDA recently released the ban on it for clinical trial use.
