@SJBenson I remember seeing the All Blacks in 1970s in Leicester. They had a player called Colin Meads. He looked a giant in those days. But I think he would be considered normal size for the game today.

I’ve never played rugby, so in the light of Ireland’s last minute defeat yesterday, can some knows explain the box kick for me? It takes ages to perform and almost always gives the ball back to the opposition.

@tomemurtha There’s a lot I’d change in rugby (and football) to take the games back to the ones we played in the 1960’s and 70’s, but I guess they have to evolve to reflect the increased strength and power of modern players.

Also from the weekend, a huge shout out to @26eltel, who was observing a referee on exchange on Sat when the referee went down injured and couldn't continue. Terry strapped on a pair of boots and reffed the last 32 mins of @EastleighRFC v @PetersfieldRFC at lv7. Top effort!👏🏻
