@smoggy1977 3/3. We work 12+ hour shifts with either a 30min break or no break at all. We risk our life and health daily to save people’s lives. The NHS is funded by goodwill and it’s about time it’s funded properly, otherwise your’s and everyone else’s life will be at risk. It isn’t safe.

“9 hours on the back of an ambulance” - taken from a colleague. Don’t usually post on here but thought I’d share my own thoughts on the matter (see photos 3 and 4). #nhs #Ambulance #ambulancestrike #NursesStrike

English

@smoggy1977 2/3. Lives are risked daily due to chronic underfunding and understaffing. We sit outside hospital for up to 12 hours, sometimes longer. While stuck there we can’t respond to anything else, tell me how that isn’t risking lives.
English

@MikePaddyfield @GMB_union We are responding to strokes. We can’t afford to send an ambulance as a taxi. EMAS also offer to pay for local taxis to transport patients.
English

@SJChamps @GMB_union As I'm sure you are aware there will be people in need of help that physically cannot get themselves to hospital without assistance. People having strokes and falls can't just jump into a taxi. Many physically won't be able to afford a taxi either if they live far from hospital
English

Don’t believe the media… 2x FRVs and 2x DCAs just dispatched at the point of call to the most poorly people in Lincoln today! We are still saving lives while fighting to save your NHS!! @GMB_union #nhs #ambulancestrike #strike #NursesStrike
English

@MikePaddyfield @GMB_union We are still responding to emergencies. If you are moderately poorly make your own way to either GP, UTC, MIU, or A&E. If you feel an emergency ambulance is absolutely necessary then phone 999, and you will get a response, with a similar response time as a non strike day.
English

@SJChamps @GMB_union What about the moderately poorly? Just wait until they're about to die?
