Last week, SJVC traveled to England and Ireland, where we met with clergy and religious leaders to share our mission and ministry. Grateful for the opportunity to connect, listen, and strengthen these relationships as we continue our work together. 🌍✝️

In the Gospel, Jesus restores sight to a man who had never seen before. His healing is not only physical but spiritual, helping him recognize the presence of God in his life. At Saint John Vianney Center, we witness similar moments of renewal when Clergy and Religious see hope.

Happy National Catholic Sisters Week!

At the well, Jesus offers the Samaritan woman something deeper than water. He offers living water that heals and restores the heart. At Saint John Vianney Center, we see this every day as Clergy and Religious rediscover hope, healing, and renewed purpose in their ministry.

We offer our congratulations to Archbishop Paul Coakley and Bishop Daniel Flores. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has elected Archbishop Paul Coakley of Oklahoma City as its next President and Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville, Texas as Vice President.

SJVC had a staff celebration with the Wild West theme. We enjoyed the festivities with a delicious spread of chicken and cornbread, had the chance to pan for gold, do some arts and crafts, and take fun photos while dressed in our country garb.

This week, we celebrated the hard work of our Spiritual Care Department! Staff and residents had the opportunity to participate in the Spiritual Trail. Thank you to our Spiritual Care Team and all they do to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for everyone at SJVC.

SJVC's Good Neighbor Initiative had a dog's day afternoon. Last Sunday, our initiative spent the morning with the dogs, cats, and incredible team at LaMancha Animal Rescue. We helped with dog walks and made sure puppies got to play!

Earlier this month, SJVC volunteered at the Downingtown Fall Fest! Our Good Neighbor Initiative was able to share information about our organization and distribute plenty of giveaway items.

On October 5th, SJVC staff participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk. Through our participation, those who walk show their support for suicide prevention and awareness. We were joined by family, friends, and thousands of others.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Today, we come together to raise awareness about mental health and support resources that help those who are struggling with their mental health.

It's Fire Prevention Week! Yesterday, staff were shown how to properly use a fire extinguisher during a live demonstration.

Today is World Smile Day! Today, we focus on what makes us smile and performing acts of kindness to make other people smile.
