$GME buying $EBAY doesn't make sense to me. What happened to RC quote "Markets can go from Green to Red without flashing Yellow". $EBAY is at ATH's (up 300% just from 2024). There are so many other opportunities in the market with great companies that are down 70-90% 💯

@tspencer322 You’re modeling a full cash buyout, which isn’t how all M&A work. GME could structure a deal with stock, debt & cash. That’s how deals this size are done. Ebay shareholders would likely get equity in the combined company NOT issuing 300M shares overnight to buy it in cash, solely

@SKimmsm98 See GameStop issues another 300 million shares at $27 that could get them at exactly $27 another 8.9 billion. Now they have $17 billion in cash and the GameStop share price would drop sub $10 overnight. Where are they gonna get the other 40 billion from?

$EBAY is a $46M market cap and $7bln in debt. Unless Musk is going to help Cohen buy it…. It’s not even possible. $GME buying eBay makes zero sense to me.
