Then any conversation that ever ends is ghosting, and we all just have to go constantly back and forth with everyone endlessly because if you don’t reply to even a single message you’ve ghosted them. Was there last message a single word like “okay” or “goodnight” or an emoji with no words? Doesn’t matter! You have to reply or you are ghosting them

When someone says they have been ghosted, I find that almost always, if they show me their actual messages, they were not ghosted. For example, if the last message sent was just the one word "cool", then that doesn't warrant a response, so it's not 'ghosting' to not respond. If, after that, neither person reaches out to start a new conversation, it's not ghosting, it's just a mutual lack of reaching out. Sometimes conversations just mutually fizzle out without anyone 'ghosting' the other.
