India is a seafood production giant but behind its success lies an invisible workforce that powers the industry.

At Saaras Foundation’s #CapacityBuilding panel, our ED Ashmita Sharma shared how worker resource centres, women-led collectives & youth fellowships foster grassroots leadership, create safe spaces & turn sustainability into social & economic empowerment.

In 2021, 24M+ women in India had an unmet need for family planning — with the highest gap among adolescents (15–19) at 17.8% (NFHS-5). To bridge this, SLD launched the #SRHR Youth Fellowship in Delhi, training young leaders to advocate SRHR at the grassroots. #SRHRFellowAtWork
