Are NFTs going/trending to zero? A lot of teams used NFTs as a stepping stone for liquidity events and beyond that really didn’t understand how to engage with their community, or continue to make them the centre of their world Probably because when the NFTs, token, and brand become fragmented, the belief is that all the opportunity from NFTs has been exhausted, and now the token and brand become the priority and focus Holders are then voyeurs of any success and, worse, continually asked to participate as transactional consumers, with little or no incentive to do so By not treating your NFTs and your holders with the respect and importance they deserve, you’re basically leaving NFTs This is extremely shortsighted in my opinion. Web3 is an amazing playground to test new ideas, technology, products, and experiences with your community, it’s such an incredible benefit and a fantastic resource When you build this within the walls of an aligned ecosystem, where growth and success are shared, where there’s a genuine feeling of “we’re all in it together,” then it can be incredibly powerful So when I hear “trending to zero,” it doesn’t just mean price, it means sentiment, interest, and belief. It means giving up instead of doubling down on the opportunity And if some founders believe this, that’s fine When they vacate NFTs in heart and mind, they leave a wide open space for projects that believe not only in NFTs, but that they, and their holders, are the most important part of an IP that wants to grow in the real world

[Blockchain diary 62/1959] I feel quite inspired by the Scharf collection at Altes Museum Berlin. Systematic, long term with a vision, through 3 generations (I acquired Bad Vibe Guy 1/1 while browsing last Sat). I acquired this Divine 1/1 from @ChimpersHQ. With a Glitch, Tiktok feel, sparkles from full color spectrum. ☘️ At the conclusion of a 3-step process here, similar to my approach at @goodvibesclub: - First, a starter PFP at Chimpers with personal connection (gem trifecta to parallel colors in the hobby). - Then, a self-discovered grail, 4T chimplistic undead with deep cross-reference, POP 2 but actually POP 1 if asking for more color matching. This is only possible after going through entire catalog. - Now, with kindness of @tylerdurdeth and guide of @NFT1nsight, I landed a POP 5 divine and my favorite, and also number 1 if sorted by rarity. 👀 The impression Chimpers gives me so far: - Extremely and creatively welcoming. Gave me a honorary PFP matching my punk and quite proactive. As an onboarder for #PaniniBlockchain at community level, I can resonate and appreciate. - They are open, not forcing to self-contained ecosystem blocking out other projects, open to collab and coexist. Their Otherside event, their TCG/trading card merch and openness to str tokens not created by their own. - A legacy PFP project that has been through cycles and still grinding and relevant and very active in community, also not relying on infoFi (the latter which is shut down and now we have $1M award to top X essay, infoXFi LOL). A news days ago that Chimpers and GVC surpassed MAYC in FP momentarily is a milestone. - Very active on social with strong collabs and impressions. Actually one of rare PFP projects that have large Instagram followings, where I was based mostly. 🤌 Collectors collect: - The price point is identical to what I acquired my Jordan 1997 Game Jersey Auto /23 GJ13S in 2010, which is the first appearance of auto patch cards, very historically significant in the hobby, whose highest end now is defined via auto patches. That has 100-150x since as hobby takes off in this decade. - The apparent passion/infectious chain reaction is fun: I acquired BVG 1/1 at GVC, then the prominent and ever-supportive collector @AdamWeitsman acquired the best GVC 1/1 VibeFoot, then @Nxn_nft123 acquired another GVC Melt 1/1, who actually acquired a Divine #4 at Chimpers a few days ago, and he inspired me to acquire this #2 (2+4 Kobe 24 appearance). Full Circle. - Back to my main thesis again, I always want to get a/the best piece from top collections as I go down my collecting path, this is a mechanim of obtaining coffin collectibles (figuratively, worthy of long term holding to coffin but also displaying in coffin as one’s lifetime’s prize). The previous owner Tyler is precisely a biggest collector in the community and a advisor to the team. - Embracing the pattern, when I acquired @moonbirds Enlightened, I missed out a founder Cosmic weeks earlier. I couldn’t reach a deal with the seller of Undead at @BadEggCompany and obtained Glitch. Then I obtained Cosmic from @goodvibesclub (CATA), but missed out Divine here. Then I found the most unique Undead here, and now Divine and on top, Glitch. All just fit. Curation with fusion in expression. - Cultural relevance: Protagonist of one of big 4 China literature work is identifiable to the character here, also Black Myth Wukong. - Trust my experience or instinct. Best item of a category with traction and fundamentals always ages well. Sometimes you cannot understand everything to nut and bolt, with enough proof of concep to your satisfaction, to still have the opportunity. Sometimes one has to transcend to get on such. - I used to smile at lengthy proses in acquisition posts, because that item must mean something deep to new owners.
