I’m very intrigued to see the user score as gamers get their hands on the game later today! Will be interesting to see if there’s a considerable disparity between user and critic scores 🤔

@GenePark I loathe the "all game journalist bad at games" when 8/10 times when I'm stuck I find the solution from a GJ who found the solution first. I've seen equally plenty of streamers get stuck on obvious puzzles (they could've probably used some yellow paint🤷‍♀️)

i am a journalist who’s covered crime and military and education and politics and the zero hand holding is the best part about crimson desert. it does feel like a classic CRPG realized in a dynamic and well animated massive world with lots of weird random interactions in towns.

My Crimson Desert Review (W.I.P.) TLDW: Crimson Desert is a game that fundamentally changes our perception of what is possible in the medium. Its open-world, exploration, and sheer scale all offer something that almost no other game has even attempted. It's NOT perfect: there are bugs, occasional quality dips, and its scope can sometimes leave ideas on the table for too long, but overall I'm thoroughly impressed. After 60+ hours I'm loving it. I think it will probably take me 120+ to roll credits and likely 300+ for a completionist run; even so, I cannot wait to see what else the game has tucked away for me to find and I'm actively playing it even while writing this pinned comment. It won't be for everyone, and I expect the game-journalist memes will FLOW considering its lack of hand-holding, but it's definitely for me. youtu.be/zytQQZVqdCQ
