On Friday, Aug. 11, from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., join in an all-day story-fest at the @stlouispark Library and hear tales from storytellers across our community.

Bunny-licious! Come read with a bunny at the @SLPReadFest at Oak Hill Park until 6pm. Pick up a free book and head over to the Pirates of Penzance concert for Reading with Rotary at the Veterans Amphitheater from 7-8:30pm!

Wed., Aug. 9, join @stlouispark Parks & Rec at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater for a concert with Sticks & Tones and a book giveaway. Bring a blanket and enjoy some summertime tunes, then play on the playground, enjoy lunch in Wolfe Park or swim at the Rec Center Aquatic Park.

Friends from the SLP Library will be giving away books and signing up anyone who would like a library card. A big thank you to Rancher's Legacy, who will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. (2/2)

Thurs., Aug. 10, join the St. Louis Park Police Department in partnership with Perspectives and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office in Ainsworth Park to play basketball, kickball, football, jump rope or just hang out and have fun. (1/2)

They're HERE! The Kindergarten Readiness Calendars arrived today - thank you, Gleason Printing! Look for us at the @SLPReadFest to get yours and spend the next year doing fun activities that help your child prepare for kindergarten.

Wed., Aug. 9, from 7 – 8:15 p.m., the @slprotary Summer Concert Series presents Storyteller: Pirates of Penzance! featuring #Overdressed. Join us at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater for the show, a book giveaway and more. #SLPReadfest

Wed., Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., join us in Aquila Park for origami, stories and books, books, books! @MNYouth will lead a workshop on origami bookmarks while Rise Early Learning Center will host a read-along, plus a Book Buggy free book giveaway and more. #SLPReadfest

Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage in a "story walk" at the park — another innovative way to incorporate reading and joy at one's own leisure. Also at this event will be author Linda Miller and LNC Book Works. See you there! #SLPReadfest

Who loves bunnies? 🐰 Wed., Aug. 9 from 4- 6 p.m., join @GrovesLearning and the local "Bunnies with Besties" at Oak Hill Park for a hands-on reading experience. With the assistance of trained bunny handlers, families will have the opportunity to read a short book to a bunny.

Ready for sweet treats + good reads? 🍨 The @Children1st_SLP Ice Cream Social is back! Stop by the Recreation Outdoor Center (ROC) Aug. 6, 2-5 p.m. for an afternoon of family fun and activities, free ice cream, entertainment, interactive exhibits and more. #SLPReadFest

Looking for inspiration? Come visit this year's Art Walk in the Park Aug. 5-11 during #SLPReadFest. Based on "Books that Inspire," this annual Art Walk will begin its weeklong journey at the St. Louis Park Library before touring other parks throughout the city.
