The Arizona Attorney General today filed criminal charges against one of our registered exchanges related to prediction markets. This is a jurisdictional dispute and entirely inappropriate as a criminal prosecution. The @CFTC is watching this closely and evaluating its options.

The governor of Florida cannot unilaterally ban foreigners from buying property in the state. The Florida Constitution vests exclusive lawmaking authority in the legislature, with the governor's role limited to proposing legislation, calling special sessions, vetoing bills (subject to override), or signing them. Without legislative action, the governor lacks the power to impose such bans via executive order or other unilateral means, as this would exceed the executive branch's authority under Article II of the Florida Constitution.
