How did SMSD legislators vote? A NO vote sustained the flat tax veto, protecting public education funding. A YES vote would override the veto, leading to a significant reduction in state revenues putting ed funding at risk of budget cuts like under the last tax experiment.

The voucher bills being proposed in the #ksleg are absurd on their own, but it gets even worse - they can all be used together! Forget double-dipping; triple dipping is where it’s at! #ksed

Voucher bills that divert public tax dollars to private schools were introduced last week, putting funding for the over 90% of kids that attend public schools at risk. Kansas PTA & SMSD oppose voucher programs that put funding for our kids in public schools at risk.
