I thought from the very beginning the better angle than vertical integration was the partnership route You can scale that much faster And you don’t only have to have one If you partner with 5 in the area, you’ll do way more than what you could have done trying to scale a tow company

My towing business failed after only 8 months. So I spoke with the best towing operator in my area. This is Mr. Kitt. He's been running tow trucks for years in the same area I was trying to crack. He only has red trucks So he came by to look at my old red truck to see if it worked for him. But the conversation went differently By the end of it we had an alliance. His trucks feed my shops. So that every car he tows has a home. I lost $60K on that towing business. But talking with Mr.Kitt and asking him how he does it? That conversation might end up being worth a lot more than what I lost. You don't always have to be the one with the answers. But make sure you find those who have them

I was telling someone about today's trip and how the Tesla Trip planner shows me getting to my destination with 10% remaining. This would be fine but the nearest supercharger is 30 miles away. It didn't account for having to get to another charger after arriving. There are slow AC chargers, but nothing that I have time to wait for. Then the conversation turned to - "you never had to do any of this mental gymnastics to plan for charging with your F-150, there's always a gas station at your destination." Which is true, I had never planned a trip with any of my other vehicles around whether or not there would be somewhere to get fuel.

Hot Take: 1700 sq feet with the right layout (single story) and floor plan is enough space for a family. Layout is more important than sq footage But in OC, they tear down 1700 sq feet to build 3500 - so maybe I am the fool
