This week was Acts of Kindness week at St Mary's. It has been wonderful to see so many people filling our school with kindness. We have run the kindness post and bingo, and staff have been involved by doing secret acts of kindness for each other too! What a wonderful week!

Over the last 2 weeks, we have run a number of fundraising activities for the #CAFOD #HarvestFastDay appeal. We are pleased to announce that we have raised a massive £524.28! Huge thanks to all who contributed!

Last week as part of their Ethos Day, students in Y8-11 learned about the unfair food system and completed the #StepUpToThePlate action for @CAFODSchools . Here's a selection of their messages! @CAFODLancaster #WorldFoodCrisis

Yesterday our Chaplaincy Leaders led a reflection at the #SeasonOfCreation liturgy at St Kentigern's. We were encouraged to listen to the voice of creation, which Pope Francis calls a "Sweet song of praise of our beloved creator." So proud of our students!

So pleased to be welcoming our new Y7's and Y12's this morning to the St Mary's family. We're praying for you all and hoping you have an amazing day!

Yesterday we said a huge thank you and farewell to Delcan and Shawn, our @CAFOD #StepIntoTheGap volunteers. They have been brilliant in supporting our students and our local schools and promoting CAFOD's work and campaigns. Good luck for the future!

Today we welcomed 350 very special visitors from our local primaries to celebrate Mass outside in our school grounds. It was a wonderful (and rather warm) celebration for all who have most recently made their first holy communion! #eucharist #firstholycommunion
