A brilliant day celebrating #WorldBookDay in RW with the dazzling book ‘Lifesize’. It made for an action packed maths lesson! @SMCLtdMaths We measured the height of an elephant outside and compared our height to it and used Numicon pegs to measure the length and width of animals.

We have been investigating number bonds in Year Two, using them to work on our problem solving skills. We have learnt how to make a prediction, work systematically to find all possibilities and identify repeats! @SMCLtdMaths

#CalculatorCrunch begins in 5 days! On each weekday from 21 June to 1 July we will tweet an engaging question for Year 6 & 7 aged children, that all involve using a calculator. The questions are designed to deepen children’s mathematical thinking skills in a fun way.
